Transition to MCH2 in 2026, additional depreciations and new equalisation
The transition to the new second-generation harmonised accounting model MCH2 took effect on 1 January 2026. Anticipating this step and its accounting constraints, the Municipality decided to allocate almost the entire profit of the year 2025, i.e. CHF 4,157,017.-, to additional depreciations of old investments mainly related to infrastructure in order of age.
Finally, the new Vaud inter-municipal equalisation (NPIV) came into force on 1 January 2025. The application of these new provisions positively influenced the result of the 2025 financial year of the Municipality.
