Head of Inheritance and Gift Tax 80-100%
Exciting tasks await:
- Personnel, professional and administrative management of the inheritance and gift tax division
- Independent assessment of complex tax cases, especially with international allocations, difficult valuation issues and demanding civil law questions
- Handling objections and responding to complex ruling requests
- Leading cross-departmental projects, especially in connection with the replacement of specialist applications and the planned redesign of the Aargau inheritance and gift tax system
- Professional support, advice and training of around 200 Aargau inventory offices
What you bring:
- University degree (University of Applied Sciences, University / ETH) or equivalent qualification (e.g. notary patent or certified tax expert)
- Very good knowledge in the field of inheritance and gift taxes, inheritance, matrimonial and contract law as well as basic knowledge of ordinary taxes (income and wealth taxes on natural persons)
- Several years of leadership experience as well as the ability to promote employees and successfully manage change
- Experience in project management, implementation of software solutions and redesign and implementation of tax processes
- Decisive, balanced, resilient personality with strong communication skills

Your working environment
The Cantonal Tax Office (KStA) is responsible for the enforcement of cantonal and federal tax laws. The municipalities assess and collect taxes on natural persons; the KStA performs the supervisory function. All other types of taxes are assessed and collected by the KStA itself. Furthermore, the KStA prepares the basis for financial planning and tax policy on behalf of the government council. Our approximately 710,000 inhabitants and the 198 municipal administrations expect qualified services from us every day.
