Medical secretary at the Paediatric Endocrinology, Diabetology and Obesity Unit
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) of the CHUV is looking for a medical secretary at a 60% activity rate to strengthen the team of the Paediatric Endocrinology, Diabetology and Obesity Unit of the Children’s Hospital. The starting date is scheduled for 1 July 2026 or to be agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
Within the Women-Mother-Child Department, the paediatrics service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children aged 0 to 18 years. It maintains close links with other department services such as neonatology, paediatric surgery, adolescent medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics.
Mission
- You ensure the production and management of the flow of medical documents and information internally and externally
- You efficiently manage the organisation of the unit’s consultation
- You contribute to the quality, development and improvement of the unit’s services.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification as well as a medical secretary diploma
- You already have professional experience in a hospital environment
- You have perfect command of French spelling and knowledge of medical terminology
- You are a versatile, organised and autonomous person. Your team spirit, interpersonal skills and ability to manage priorities allow you to follow and manage several files simultaneously
- You have the capacity to cope with a sustained activity and to work in a multidisciplinary team
- You can demonstrate good mastery of common IT tools (MS Office) as well as CHUV’s IT tools.
