With the new school year 2024/25, various new teachers will start next week at Primary School Wittenbach.

Admissions School District Kronbühl

With the opening of an additional 1st grade class in Kronbühl, we were able to recruit Laura Fässler from Bühler. She brings a valuable five-year professional background in lower school. She is now looking forward to moving from the rural Appenzell region to the suburban Wittenbach to gain entirely new school experiences.

To complement the job sharing with Tanja Schneider, we were able to hire Susanne Faltermeier for the 2nd grade. She is currently completing the course "Lateral Entry to Primary School Teacher" at the University of Teacher Education in Rorschach. She will complete this training in the coming school year. As her first profession, she holds a degree in business administration and has 10 years of professional experience.

From November 2024 to July 2025, we had the pleasure of getting to know Vivienne Langenegger as an enthusiastic substitute for maternity leave and have now engaged her for a 4th grade class. She completed her teacher training in Rorschach a year ago. Since then, she has taken on various substitute roles. We greatly appreciate continuing this journey with her.

Shirin Weber will take over a 5th grade class together with Joanna Z’graggen at around 70%. She will bring her many years of experience and routine as a middle school teacher with commitment to us in Kronbühl. We look forward to this energetic support and the collaboration of the two teachers.

For the final year of the 6th grade, Cornelia Bartolini and Oliver Mähr will share the role in a job-sharing arrangement. A very competent and experienced middle school teacher and a newly qualified teacher complementing and enriching each other. Mr Mähr, after completing his studies at the University of Teacher Education, will already be teaching part-time in the class from October 2024 to July 2025. The tandem will enthusiastically accompany the children until their transition.

Admissions School District Sonnenrain

Flavia Kästli will share class responsibility with Meron Berehanu in the Sonnenrain school district. She is taking the opportunity to complete her teacher training through a work-integrated study programme.

As a team teaching teacher, we are pleased to employ Daniela Bommeli in the 1st grade at Sonnenrain school. We are delighted to welcome her back to our team after a break.

Admissions School District Steig

Anna Graber completed her primary school teacher training a year ago. She has already worked as a substitute with us in Steig. Now she is returning as a class teacher and will teach a 1st grade class. She is very much looking forward to this task.

Jérôme Graf completed his primary school teacher training four years ago. After gaining various professional experiences, he is pleased to take over the 4th grade as a class teacher with us.

Nadine Langenegger completed her primary school teacher training this summer. She will start as a class teacher in the Steig kindergarten and will lead the kindergarten class together with Natascha Bucher.

Rita Hofer will complement the team as a team teaching and DaZ teacher in the Obstgarten kindergarten from the new school year.
