Educate – Move – Care. With its range of topics, the Department of School and Sport is at the heart of life in the city of Winterthur and in tune with the social pulse of the times. The School Dental Clinic of the city of Winterthur, in cooperation with Winterthur dentists, carries out the mandatory dental examinations for around 13,000 pupils as well as the necessary treatments and prophylaxis measures.

Your Tasks

For our lively school dental clinic, where we are committed to healthy teeth for schoolchildren, we are looking for a motivated, team-oriented individual from 1 September 2026 (limited to two years) or by arrangement. Your main tasks are:

Dental check-ups, oral hygiene instruction for children and parents, nutritional information, fluoride prophylaxis with subsequent instrument and chair hygiene as well as performance recording and documentation in the dental programme Vitodata/ZaWin

Independent scheduling, appointment arrangements and recall management for assigned patients

Occasional chair assistance and office duties

Your Profile

Apprenticeship as a dental assistant EFZ or dental medical assistant ZMA / SSO

Federal or Swiss-recognised diploma as a prophylaxis assistant

Further training as a prophylaxis assistant with SSO specialist certificate

At least 1-2 years of professional experience

High social and professional competence in dealing with children and adolescents

Very good knowledge of German and good computer skills
