Data Officer 80 - 100%In the General Secretariat of the Finance Directorate, where the threads come together, we are looking for a Data Officer and, in a secondary role, a supervisor for digital procedures from 1 September 2026 (or by arrangement), initially limited to 2 years.
Your role as Data Officer
- As a Data Officer, you are responsible within the Finance Directorate for the development and operation of a uniform Data Governance Framework in accordance with the cantonal Data Governance
- You develop the data strategy for data management of the Finance Directorate in line with cantonal requirements and implement it
- You ensure data quality and data integrity through appropriate standards and processes
- You establish control mechanisms (metrics, controls, reporting) for the effective implementation of Data Governance
- You support the use of data as a strategic resource and act as an interface in the Operational Steering Committee Data to bring the concerns of the Finance Directorate into the cantonal Data Governance
- You coordinate data management within the responsibility area of the Finance Directorate and form the connecting function between strategic and operational levels in data management
- You promote awareness of the topic within the various offices, support the actors of data management, conduct training, provide tools and monitor compliance with the requirements
- Your role as supervisor of digital procedures
- You contribute to the further development of central digital procedures within the Finance Directorate and the cantonal administration
- You advise and support our offices in the further digitalisation of their administrative procedures
- You coordinate and liaise with specialists from other directorates
Your profile
- You have a tertiary education (e.g. business informatics, data science, computer science, statistics, business administration with a focus on data/analytics or administrative sciences related to digitalisation and data)
- Solid experience in data management, data governance and data-related digitalisation; knowledge of common frameworks (e.g. DAMA, DCAM) is an advantage
- You have several years of experience in data management and ideally in the digitalisation of processes
- Convincing communication and consulting skills
- Independent, responsible working style with high initiative and service orientation
