Canton of Schaffhausen. More than 480 children and young people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, with speech, hearing, or other profound
developmental impairments are currently taught and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at four locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various
therapy services, we operate a school-complementary area with lunch service, day structure, and
boarding school. Over 570 employees are committed in various roles at the
SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS.
For the 2nd semester of the 2025/26 school year, we are looking for a
Class Teacher for Cycle 1
Workload approx. 87% or by arrangement.
The speech therapy school comprises five lower school classes and currently two kindergarten classes.
The schoolchildren are taught according to the Lehrplan 21 of the regular school and receive individual, specific support in the language area.
You will work closely in a small team with the speech therapist and the educational assistant.
With an EDK-recognized teaching qualification for the grade level and preferably
teaching experience, you meet our requirements. A recognized special education
qualification or willingness to train is a prerequisite for long-term employment.
Our employment conditions are based on the cantonal personnel law.
