You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of critical components, structuring quality processes, and managing a dedicated team.

Your mission

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Lead, you will play a key role in guaranteeing the quality and reliability of products purchased by BOBST. You will lead supplier quality assurance activities in a demanding industrial environment, working closely with purchasing, R&D, production, and suppliers.

Integrated into the Procurement Center, which brings together Purchasing, Supply, and Quality activities, you play a key role in the performance and reliability of our supply chain.

Reporting to the Quality department, you are responsible for managing and leading a portfolio of suppliers in terms of Quality Assurance.

Management Responsibilities

Strategy

• Lead a Supplier Quality Assurance team (~8 people)
• Define priorities and drive quality action plans

Technical Specifications

• Contribute to sourcing strategy in connection with purchasing

Qualification

• Collaborate with R&D and industrialization to improve product specifications and control plans

Quality Monitoring

• Manage the qualification of parts and suppliers (new items, new partners)

Performance

• Handle non-conformities, follow up on action plans and credit notes

Continuous Improvement

• Monitor and improve supplier quality KPIs
• Organize visits and audits
• Propose phase-outs for non-compliant suppliers
• Escalate systemic issues

Profile sought

Education

Experience

• Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineer (HES) or equivalent
• Specialization in industrial engineering (an asset)

Technical Skills

• Minimum 10 years in an industrial environment
• Experience in machine tools and supplier quality assurance

Languages

• Mastery of quality standards: ISO9001, FMEA, 8D, APQP, PPAP, SPC
• Tools: SAP, advanced Excel, Visio

Soft Skills

• French and English (professional level)
• German or Italian (a plus)
• Leadership and team coaching
• Analytical mindset, rigor, and synthesis ability
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ease in defining processes and procedures
