Zäziwil is a picturesque municipality in the Emmental region. The municipality, with about 1,600 inhabitants, is part of the Bern-Mittelland administrative district and is located about 20 kilometers east of Bern.
The Zäziwil Region School consists of 3 locations.
The kindergarten is located at Zelgweg 2, the 1st to 6th grades are taught at Bahnhofstrasse 5, and the lower secondary level has its own school building at Lochmattstrasse 93 in Oberhünigen until the end of 2025. Currently, a new school building is being constructed at Bahnhofstrasse 7, which will be ready for occupancy for the lower secondary level by the end of 2025.
At the Zäziwil Region School, about 200 school-age children are taught in 10 classes. In the lower secondary level, which has been operating under the permeable model 4 MOSAIK since summer 2023, a new class will be opened starting in the 2025/26 school year.

Responsibilities
You will take over the substitute role of the class teacher for a 5th/6th grade with 25.5 lessons and support the students in their individual development. You will teach the subjects German, Mathematics, French, NMG, and Movement and Sports. The substitution will last approximately 3 months (01.02.2026 to around 30.04.2026).
You will design the lessons with passion, creativity, and commitment to inspire and motivate the learners.
You will accompany and support your students in their school life with empathy and promote their social skills.
You will work closely with the teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic support for the students.
You will take responsibility for school projects and contribute to the further development of the school.
Requirements
Ideally, you have a seminar teaching certificate or a Bachelor's degree for primary education with experience working with students from 5th and 6th grades.
You are an engaged, motivated, and likeable personality who knows how to accompany students with heart and mind.
You are a true people person who cares about the development of each individual child and treats learners and their families with respect and appreciation.
You demonstrate high team competence, enjoy and succeed in teamwork, and actively contribute to a positive and collegial school climate.
You are open to new pedagogical approaches, reflect on your work, and bring your own ideas and experiences into everyday school life.
