In the Department of Building Construction + Planning, we are looking to strengthen our team immediately or by arrangement for you as Project Manager Spatial Planning.

Your tasks
- Develop, lead and coordinate demanding projects on spatial planning issues in an interdisciplinary environment
- Municipal zoning plans, building and zoning regulations, etc.
- Value compensation
- Supra-municipal planning: statements on submissions from the canton, the region, the RZU, the ZPG and neighbouring municipalities
- Advising developers and planners regarding land use planning
- Participation in public relations (communication concepts, press releases, etc.)
- Assistance with enforcement tasks
- Drafting city council motions, minutes, presentations and reports
- Cross-departmental collaboration, especially on transport issues
Your profile
- Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in urban/spatial planning or equivalent degree in another spatially related discipline
- Proven professional experience, ideally with project management experience in spatial planning, combined with the motivation to work in the tension between private and public interests as well as in a political environment
- Experience, ideally gained in the canton of Zurich, with common formal and informal planning instruments and quality assurance procedures
- Competences and experience in managing complex spatial tasks
- Strategic and networked thinking
- Team-oriented, high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
- Confident oral and written expression as well as communication and negotiation skills
