WinGD is looking for a
Prototype Engine Test Engineer
Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, and conducting large 2-stroke engine tests and prototype tests, primarily at our licensees in Asia.
- The planning and organization of the tests is done in close collaboration with internal experts and external parties, such as licensees.
- Creation of detailed test plans, coordination of the necessary test components, equipment, data collection systems, logistics, and resources.
- Conducting tests on-site, leading our expert team and coordinating the test with the licensees to ensure an efficient and safe testing process.
- Documentation of preparations, creation of technical reports, and detailed feedback to the R&D department.
Requirements
- At least a BSc degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Preferably, you have a vocational training/apprenticeship in these disciplines.
- Experience in project management is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience with combustion engines, preferably 2-stroke ship engines, are advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a structured way of working.
- Resilience, maintaining an overview even in hectic situations.
- Willingness to travel and work in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Familiarity with software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, AVL Concerto, Python, etc.).
- Practical MS Office skills.
