Athletics Assistant Coach

ATHLETICS ASSISTANT COACH
Nations Campus – Sports Department (ECA)

- Rate: Part-time (3 hours per week)
- Schedule: Thursdays from 15:15 to 16:15 and Fridays from 15:30 to 17:30

Why this role is important:
As an Athletics Assistant Coach at the Nations Campus, you play a key role in the physical development and sporting spirit of our students. Supporting the head coach, you help provide dynamic, safe, and high-quality coaching on the track. You accompany young people of varied profiles in learning perseverance, self-improvement, and respect, fundamental values at the heart of Ecolint’s mission.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach in leading, conducting, and supervising the weekly athletics session on Friday afternoons.
- Propose dynamic, stimulating workshops and exercises adapted to the age and level of participants (running, jumping, throwing).
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and proper use of facilities and sports equipment.
Actively and openly collaborate within the team of coaches and sports department staff.
Profile sought:
Skills and Experience
- Youth and Sport (J+S) diploma in athletics or equivalent foreign qualifications.
- Proven practical experience with young people aged 11 to 18 in teaching and coaching athletics.
- Priority will be given to candidates who have already worked in a school environment or have significant experience with young people.
- Fluency in French and/or English.
Your personal qualities:
- Excellent rapport with children and adolescents in a multicultural context.
- Energy, positive pedagogy, and contagious enthusiasm.
- Reliability, rigour, and absolute punctuality for the weekly Friday session.
