As a regionally well-established healthcare institution, the Réseau de l'Arc offers comprehensive medical care for its patients.

The network includes two hospital locations in Moutier and Saint-Imier as well as nine Medicentres, including the Medicentre Biel-Bienne. The range of services is complemented by an ambulance service, two nursing homes (EMS), two radiology institutes, a centre for physical and cognitive therapies, and a hospital-at-home service.

The Medicentre Biel-Bienne brings together self-employed general practitioners and specialists from various fields who work interdisciplinarily and as a team. It also includes a day surgery unit for outpatient procedures and a walk-in clinic that treats patients without appointments.

To strengthen our team in the operating department, we are currently seeking a Technical Surgical Assistant (TOA) with a 40% workload for our Biel/Bienne location, primarily for ophthalmology and hand surgery. Additional specialties are under development.

The main workplace is located in Biel/Bienne. Depending on organisational needs, there is the possibility of deployment at other hospital locations within the Réseau de l’Arc.

Job Description

• Qualification as a Technical Surgical Assistant (TOA), certified surgical nursing specialist (IDDO), or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Strong organisational skills as well as a careful and responsible working style.
• Teamwork skills, independence, and the ability to prioritise.
• Strong patient orientation and a high level of service commitment.
• Very good knowledge of French and German or excellent knowledge of one of the two languages along with good professional knowledge of the other language.
• Willingness to work at other hospital locations within the Réseau de l’Arc if required.

Qualifications

• Qualification as a Technical Surgical Assistant (TOA), certified surgical nursing specialist (IDDO), or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Strong organisational skills, careful and responsible working style.
• Teamwork skills, independence, and the ability to prioritise.
• Thanks to your experience, you have a strong patient orientation and a high level of service commitment.
• Very good knowledge of French and German or excellent knowledge of one of the two languages along with good professional knowledge of the other language.
• Willingness to occasionally work at our other hospital locations if required.
