About the job
Would you like to move from Germany to Switzerland as a general practitioner and are looking for professional breadth, modern diagnostics, and attractive development opportunities? This established group practice offers you a professional environment with a fixed salary, possible revenue sharing, and training opportunities.
Here you work in a medical environment that deliberately focuses on comprehensive primary care. Instead of emphasising individual specialities, the team accompanies patients long-term and across different life phases. Around twelve doctors, including those in training, together with a well-coordinated MPA team, form the medical foundation of the practice.
A comprehensive infrastructure is available for diagnostics and treatment, extensive for a general practice. This includes several ultrasound devices, fully digital X-rays, an in-house laboratory, ECG, and lung function diagnostics. This allows many assessments to be carried out directly on site. Additionally, there is collaboration with hospitals and specialised medical partners in the region.
The practice is also clearly organised: tasks and responsibilities are distributed within the team, including medical management and nursing home visits. The location in the canton of Schaffhausen is directly at the train station and in a region close to the German border – attractive for doctors who want to combine working in Switzerland with good regional accessibility.
Your responsibilities:
- Independent care of a diverse patient spectrum in primary care
- Assessment and treatment of general medical and internal diseases using the available practice diagnostics
- Care of acute cases as well as performing minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Long-term medical support of patients and collaboration with external specialist centres
- Taking on defined additional tasks within the team, including participation in nursing home and emergency services
Your skills:
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine or an equivalent qualification as a practical doctor or general practitioner
- Broad general medical or internal medicine background; experience in minor surgical interventions is welcome
- Interest in responsible patient care and long-term doctor-patient relationships
- Collegial, pragmatic working style and German language skills at C1 level
- If trained abroad, we support and advise you financially and consultatively with MEBEKO recognition and the required approval steps
Your benefits:
- Additional earning potential: Besides the fixed salary, revenue sharing on medical and laboratory services is possible
- Medically diverse field of activity with extensive diagnostics within the practice
- 5 training days per year at 100% plus a designated training budget
- Work organisation with an average of around 20 minutes per patient
- Workload individually negotiable
- Partial possibility to perform administrative tasks in the home office, including a provided laptop
- 8 weeks holiday and regulated working hours with compensation options
- Well-coordinated collaboration with medical colleagues, MPA, and regional medical partners
- Good accessibility due to the location directly at the train station; free parking is also available
