What you can achieve
- You take professional responsibility for the focus topic of greenhouse gas emissions and drive their reduction throughout the Emmi Group.
- You further develop our GHG strategy, identify key emission sources and reduction potentials, and keep an eye on trends and new solutions.
- You help shape the focus topic, drive effective initiatives forward, and support departments in strategic decisions.
- You integrate climate and sustainability aspects into business processes and help to unlock concrete savings potentials – together with internal teams and external partners.
- You create transparency about emission drivers and progress in Scope 1–3 and ensure that local strategies and projects contribute to our goals.
- You accompany the further development of our long-term climate targets according to recognized standards (e.g., SBTi) and are responsible for emissions-related data, methods, and reporting requirements.
- You work closely with colleagues from sustainability, finance, engineering, the divisions, as well as external experts, and actively contribute to the Group Sustainability Team.
What you bring with you
- A professional background in sustainability, environmental or engineering sciences, business, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in handling greenhouse gas inventories (GHG Protocol) and a good understanding of relevant reporting and disclosure standards.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to prepare complex topics understandably.
- Enjoyment in collaborating with various departments as well as a confident demeanor towards internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic technical understanding – experience in the food industry or process engineering is a plus but not a must.
- Very good English and good German skills; additional languages are welcome.
