To complete its teams, the Municipality of Plan-les-Ouates is looking for its future Corporal.
Full-time position - Grade 13
Your mission
- Enforce all federal, cantonal, and municipal laws and regulations within the limits of your prerogatives.
- Ensure public peace, safety, road safety, and sanitation.
- Control and report offences according to the directives of the Attorney General.
- Ensure the smooth running of events and public gatherings in terms of parking, traffic, and security.
- Depending on the service organisation, ensure "presence posts."
- Lead and supervise a team composed of municipal police officers and school patrols.
- Develop measures aimed at improving soft mobility.
- Ensure control of public areas.
- Ensure the application of municipal regulations and instructions from authorities.
- Ensure compliance with parking regulations on public roads.
- Organise operations related to traffic, identify issues, and carry out preventive, deterrent, and/or repressive actions.
Your profile:
- You hold an APM or police officer certificate or an equivalent qualification;
- You have worked in one or more law enforcement fields in Switzerland for at least 5 years;
- You can demonstrate several years of professional experience as an assistant or corporal with a level of responsibility similar to the proposed position;
- You have excellent writing skills and are proficient with common IT tools;
- You have a good knowledge of Geneva's political institutions;
- You possess strategic thinking, analytical skills, good organisational sense, and the ability to anticipate;
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, showing empathy and diplomacy;
- You are moderate and capable of taking a step back.
