About the job
For our Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, we are seeking a Senior Consultant for the specialised ward in Geriatric Psychiatry from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement. The Breitenau Psychiatric Centre is one of several locations of the Schaffhausen Hospitals, alongside the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service and the Cantonal Hospital. The Breitenau Psychiatric Centre in the Breite district of Schaffhausen consists of the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy with its inpatient, day clinic and outpatient treatment services, as well as long-term psychiatry.
What to expect
- Management of an acute ward with a treatment focus on "Geriatric Psychiatry"
- Guiding a team in conducting inpatient and outpatient therapies
- Case management of selected outpatient and inpatient patients
- Further development of the competence focus "Geriatric Psychiatry"
- Participation in the collegial on-call service of the clinic
What you bring to us
- Completed or advanced training as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy
- Advantageous is the existing specialisation title in geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy or experience in the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment of elderly patients
