Portrait of the School/Institution
The Salome Brunner Foundation is committed to around 300 children and young people with speech development disorders and learning difficulties. With our various schools, we see ourselves as an important part of the educational landscape of the Canton of Bern.
The Wabern Speech Therapy School is a special primary school for children and young people with severe speech development disorders and intellectual disabilities and comprises 21 classes from primary level to the pre-vocational school year (BVS). Small classes allow for addressing the individual needs of the pupils. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy are provided as individual therapies. Social pedagogical care is offered by the school-complementary services of day school and boarding school.

Tasks
- You teach 24.33 lessons in a middle school class (4th to 6th school year) with 7 pupils
- including 8 lessons in team teaching/half-class teaching
- all pupils are affected by speech and learning impairments
- working days: Monday to Thursday
Requirements
You
- have a completed degree in school special education or a teaching diploma and teaching experience in the special education field
- have joy and interest in working with young people with special needs in the areas of
language, communication and learning
- are open, a team player and flexible
