About the job

The Department of Aging and Care of the City of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services for the population of the City of Winterthur in the five senior centers as well as with Spitex.

For the restaurant «oh’bois» and the dining room in the Rosental Senior Center, where around 108 residents, employees, and guests are served daily, we are looking for an open, cheerful, and committed personality from June 1, 2026 or by arrangement.

Your Tasks

Professional and warm care, advice, and service of the residents in the dining room

Ensuring a smooth daily service process

Taking on the role of host with heart, joy, and humor

Assisting with special occasions and events (apéritifs, celebrations, etc.)

Various cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene and quality standards

Your Profile

Several years of experience in service

Enjoyment in working with elderly people and genuine interest in their well-being

Reliability, resilience, and personal responsibility

Good German skills in spoken and written form as well as effortless understanding of Swiss German

Willingness to work different shifts including weekends and holidays
