Scientific Staff Member for Hospital Inspections, 80 - 100%The Office of Health ensures a high-quality and economically sustainable healthcare provision in the Canton of Zurich. It guarantees seamless medical treatment and care and promotes the health of the Zurich population.
The Department of Supply Planning plans and controls healthcare provision in the canton. To this end, it procures services according to demand, monitors their delivery, and promotes treatment quality.
For the hospital inspections carried out as part of requirements controlling, we are looking for a scientific staff member, 80-100%, to start immediately or by arrangement.
Tasks
Since 2025, compliance with the structural and process requirements set within hospital planning for the service mandates of Zurich's listed hospitals has been monitored through hospital inspections. You will conduct these inspections in the areas of acute somatics, psychiatry, and rehabilitation in close collaboration with colleagues from your department as well as other departments of the office. You will be responsible for the organisational preparation and follow-up as well as the actual on-site execution of the inspections. For this purpose, you maintain regular exchanges with various subject matter experts and the hospital managers. Based on the insights gained from the inspections, you support the department in further developing the requirements and criteria of hospital planning as well as the individual hospital planning service groups. Additionally, you participate in projects for coordinated hospital planning and represent the office in working groups. In doing so, you actively shape the future hospital landscape of Zurich.
Requirements
You have a university master’s degree and several years of professional experience in the Swiss healthcare system. You also bring experience with audits or inspections. You quickly familiarise yourself with new topics, appreciate working in interdisciplinary teams, and acquire new skills rapidly. You have a quick grasp and approach tasks in a structured, goal-oriented, independent, and results-driven manner. You can convey complex matters appropriately and concisely to the target audience. Knowledge of hospital planning service groups and French language skills are advantageous.
