G&F Châtelain, a branch of Chanel SARL, is Chanel's watchmaking and jewellery manufacture in Switzerland. Responsible for developing, manufacturing and assembling the brand's watches and jewellery, our site brings together a wide variety of trades combining artisanal know-how and very high technology.
You will join the Swiss After-Sales Service team of the Watchmaking - Jewellery Division as After-Sales Service Manager Upstream and Central Watchmaking Workshop (M/F/X).
Reporting to the International After-Sales Service Manager for Watchmaking and Jewellery, your main tasks will be the direct management of a team of 6 people. You will bring your after-sales expertise to support the development of new watchmaking and jewellery products and deploy the strategy associated with your department.
YOUR IMPACT AT CHANEL
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
Management and development of the Central Watchmaking Workshop
- Ensure the performance of the Workshop and coordinate the necessary action plans to guarantee the achievement of the House's requirements
- Communicate results to global markets and Management
- Ensure the application of the After-Sales Service strategy of the Division (repair policy, repairability policy, pricing policy, etc.)
- Support the team in the evolution of processes and the After-Sales Service ERP
After-Sales Service expertise on the development of new watchmaking and jewellery products
- Participate in the development milestones of watchmaking and jewellery products and define the repair strategy
- Determine the components to be referenced and the sales price strategy
- Ensure the availability of technical documentation and tooling for internal and external repair workshops
- In liaison with the Supply Chain Department, define the initial needs for global spare parts stocks
- Ensure the training of CHANEL technicians worldwide (animation of the technical community, definition of training programmes, organisation of technical seminars, ...)
Cross-functional projects
- In collaboration with the After-Sales Service teams based in Paris, actively participate in global projects (harmonisation of repair centres, implementation of new services or new processes, etc.)
- Be the technical referent for projects related to the Customer Experience to meet the expectations of markets and end customers
- Contribute to the evolution of the After-Sales Service ERP
- Be a key user of the Distribution ERP and ensure that After-Sales Service needs are taken into account
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You hold a higher education degree (Master's, engineering degree or equivalent) and have at least 3 years of professional experience in team management as well as proven experience in after-sales service and/or watchmaking and/or jewellery.
To thrive and succeed in this role with both strategic and operational components, you have strong skills in supporting and developing teams as well as customer service expertise.
Rigorous, precise and very organised, you are recognised for your proactivity, your sense of cooperation and your ability to convince and innovate. You are fluent in English and have a strong appetite for IT systems (ERP, PowerBI). Regular travel to Paris is to be expected.
