Job Profile
The apprenticeship as a Commercial Employee EFZ in Service & Administration in the IT sector offers you a versatile entry into the working world. You will take on responsible tasks in the areas of administration, product trading, finance and accounting, as well as human resources.
You will write business letters and reports, support the organization of meetings, take minutes, and assist in planning internal and external events.
Communication with clients takes place in German and partially in foreign languages. Additionally, working with the PC is a central part of your daily work: You will create statistics, process information, and support various processes digitally.
Requirements
- Completed primary school, highest school level (Sek A)
- Good academic performance, especially
German, French, English, and Mathematics as well as Media & IT with grades of 4.5 or higher
- For attending the vocational baccalaureate school (BMS): at least a grade of 5.0 in these subjects
Furthermore, the following qualities are important:
- High independence and sense of responsibility
- Reliable and careful working style
- Enjoyment in dealing with languages
- Interest in economic contexts
- Organizational talent and enjoyment of structured work
- Interest in digital tools and processes
- Good written and oral expression skills
Before starting the apprenticeship, a typing course must be successfully completed.
Training in the Company
Duration of apprenticeship: 3 years.
During your training, you will go through various departments and gain insight into the central areas of the company: sales, purchasing, logistics, finance, human resources, marketing, reception, and customer service.
In doing so, you will learn to work independently, take on responsibility, and integrate into the team. You will develop a good understanding of business processes and can effectively contribute your personal strengths.
Specialized Instruction at the Vocational School
On two days a week (in the 3rd year of apprenticeship one day a week), you will attend the commercial vocational school in Uster. If you wish to complete the vocational baccalaureate, you can do so additionally by attending the BMS profile and having two days of school during all three years of apprenticeship. The entrance exam for this takes place each March before the start of the apprenticeship and allows you to enter a university of applied sciences without an exam after the apprenticeship.
