Lawyer in Child Protection 60%The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, controls, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counseling. It carries out various counseling and support services centrally and decentrally at various locations in the canton of Zurich. The staff of the Regional Legal Service represent children and adolescents in child protection cases, advise unmarried parents on paternity, maintenance, and parental custody, and ensure internal legal advice.
The Regional Legal Service of the office of the districts of Winterthur and Andelfingen is looking for a lawyer with a 60% workload starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your tasks:
- Handling child protection legal mandates mainly in the area of court proceedings for the regulation of paternity and maintenance and paternity challenges
- Representation of injured children and adolescents in criminal and victim assistance proceedings
- Legal representation of children and adolescents in other conflicts of interest of their parents
- Legal advice to the staff of the regional child and youth welfare offices (kjz) and the office
You bring:
- a completed master's degree in law, ideally with a lawyer's license
- professional and preferably court experience, especially in family and criminal law
- understanding of the problems of children, adolescents, and their families
- high social competence and resilience
- ability to work in a team
- an independent, precise, and responsible way of working
