The Center for Inpatient Forensic Therapy (ZSFT) is part of the Forensic Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the PUK (Director: Prof. E. Habermeyer). The ZSFT is the only specialized clinic in the canton of Zurich treating mentally ill offenders. As the largest inpatient forensic facility in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, it primarily handles court-ordered inpatient measures. The treatment goal is to achieve offense-free status with appropriate reintegration. Depending on treatment success and corresponding risk reduction, graduated easing of custody with increasing degrees of freedom is granted in coordination with the enforcement authorities.
For the Center for Inpatient Forensic Therapy at the Rheinau location, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Professional responsibility and management of the assigned inpatient unit including psychiatric-forensic treatment
- Participation in case discussions
- Ensuring smooth clinical operations of the ward
- Psychological-forensic training and involvement in the supervision of assistant physicians and psychologists in training on the assigned ward
- Ensuring good interprofessional collaboration with a focus on forensic priorities and the related orientation of all staff, including legal requirements and economic aspects
- Active participation and co-leadership of team reports and further training
- Taking over forensic-therapeutic case management for individual patients as agreed
- Participation in the senior physician on-call service of the clinic and somatic initial assessments
Your profile
- Completed medical studies
- Completed or well-advanced specialist training as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form
- Communicative and team-oriented personality with an independent working style
- Forensic expertise
