About the job
The St.Gallen municipal utilities are the reliable partner for the population and economy of the city of St.Gallen as well as partly the region in the supply of energy, water and fibre optics. In the area of water, gas and heat, installations department, we are looking to complement the installations inspection division due to retirement immediately or by arrangement for a committed individual as
Installation Inspector in Gas and Water (m/f/d) 80 - 100%
We actively shape the energy transition and are looking for a motivated individual who wants to actively help shape this change.
This is what you will do:
- You check submitted installation notifications and make necessary plan corrections.
- You inspect installations for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- You professionally carry out pressure tests on existing and new gas installations.
- You are mainly on the move in the St. Gallen region, occasionally in the surrounding municipalities for cover.
- You support the team in the quotation process and are the contact person for questions in this context.
This is what you bring with you:
- You have completed training as a sanitary installer EFZ. Ideally, you also have additional training as a building services planner specialising in sanitary, experience in project management as a sanitary installer, or further training as a chief sanitary fitter.
- You have already completed the SVGW guideline courses "Installation Inspection Building Services" for drinking water and gas or are willing to complete them alongside your job.
- You bring at least five years of experience in your trained profession.
- You are willing to be on the road daily in St.Gallen and have a category B driving licence for this.
- You complete your tasks independently, efficiently and precisely. You show yourself to be solution-oriented and a team player you can rely on. In addition, you have a confident manner and a good sense for the concerns of customers.
- You have good user knowledge of common MS Office programmes.
