The UNICEF Country Office Development and Support (CODAS) section within the UNICEF Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP), based in Geneva, Switzerland, provides strategic and operational support to Country Offices (COs) and Clusters to strengthen Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) performance globally.
To support a global initiativeaimed at enhancing internal processes for the hiring of payment technology services for fundraising operations acrossmultiplecountryoffices, PFP isseeking aProject Manager Consultant.This project involves coordination across multiple regions, diverse stakeholder engagement, and adherence to strict timelines and budgetary constraints.
The Project ManagerConsultantwillsupportthe workof thePFPDigitalTransaction Group, a cross-cutting team set-up toenableUNICEF officesto usethe best possible payment technology vendors. This role should ensure the alignment of the group’s activities with organizationalobjectivesandbest internationalpractices. Given the project's complex global scope, the ideal candidate mustpossessextensive project management experience, excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with proven experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects across cultures in an international environment.
How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP), the consultant will focus on strengthening the coordination and operational effectiveness of theDigitalTransaction Group,the assignmentwill prioritize the continuous tracking of priorities and requests received from Country Offices(pipeline), the consolidation of progress through a results-oriented report with actionable recommendations, and the review and updating of relevant internal procedures and standards. Through close engagement with key stakeholders, the consultant will supporttimelydecision-making, ensure alignment across functions and regions, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes related to payment technologies for fundraising operations.The consultant will:

Coordinate Transaction Group activities, including organizing meetings,settingthe agenda, providing meeting summaries and action items,deliverablesandtimelines.Develop andmaintaininternal procedures and standards, as needed.

Coordinate andmaintainknowledge management and internal communication efforts, as neededincluding updating the internal webpage with relevant information.

Update policies,guidance’sand procedures in line with the latest organizationalrecommendations.

Engage with members of Transaction Group and key stakeholders, as needed, to solve issues, bottlenecks and prioritize action items.

Support and manage the pipeline of internal requests, ensurePriority List ofFinancial Service Providers(-Payment Service Provider andAlternativePayment MethodsPSPs/APMs)and BanksfromCOsare updated.

Deliver aResults Report assessing planned versus achieved outcomes ofasprint‑basedexecution cycle, including key results, gaps,bottlenecks, and recommendations.

Propose anddevelopandmaintaina ‘live’ documentationwhichmonitorsthe actual statusof PSPs/APMs and inventory, usingbestavailable system across the organization.

Facilitate quarterly reporting from PSP/APMs inputs from COs and submission tothe Division of Financial and Administrative Management (DFAM).

Monitor and track action items and Transaction Group deliverables.

Develop andmaintainan internal communication plan with internal stakeholders.

Support and update strategy/narrative documentation, such as presentations, guidance documents, SharePointsite,etc.

Coordinate activities related to internal procedures including monitoring updates and tracking approvals.

Support Transaction Group indevelopmentof other specific deliverables related to communication, training and more (to be agreed on a case-by-case basis).

Create and coordinate internal events (meetings,drop-incalls,webinarsetc), as needed.

Advanced university degree (Master’slevel or equivalent) inProject Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, International Development, International Relations, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

Alternatively, a first level university degree in a relevant field combined with (2)additionalyears of qualifying professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Aminimumof ten (10)years of progressively responsible experience in senior projectmanagement roles, preferably in international, developmentcontexts, isrequired.

Proven experience coordinating complex, multi‑stakeholder and multi‑regional initiatives, including senior‑level stakeholders.

Strongexpertisein project coordination, planning, tracking, and delivery, includingfollow‑upof pipelines, priorities, and action items.

Demonstrated experience producingresults‑orientedmanagement reports, including analysis, identification of bottlenecks, and actionable recommendations.

Experience in process review, documentation, and updating internal procedures and standards.

Excellent analytical, organizational, andproblem‑solvingskills.

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliveroutputsunder tight timelines

Prior experience in similar project management assignments within UNICEF is considered a strong asset, particularly in global,cross‑divisionalor PFP/PSFR‑relatedinitiatives.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.
