Heat
The Zofingen district heating is part of the Lower Wiggertal heat network and environmentally friendly, as it is largely produced from regional wood – and convenient, because you don’t have to worry about anything.
StWZ Energie AG and Primeo Energie have founded Fernwärme Unteres Wiggertal AG (FUWI) to specifically expand the heat supply in the lower Wiggertal in close cooperation with Entsorgung Region Zofingen (erzo). The goal is a gradual decarbonisation and a sustainable solution for households, businesses and public buildings. The basis is additional waste heat from the KVA Oftringen. Existing heat networks are integrated and further developed – for an efficient, safe and sustainable heat network.
With district heating, buildings can be heated ecologically and hot water prepared. The Zofingen heat comes from the energy centres Mühlegasse and Stadtbach. It is largely produced from regional wood and supplemented by gas.
