Application Manager D365 SCM 80-100% (m/f/d)

In this specialist role, you will take responsibility for the support, optimisation, and further development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (F&SCM) with a focus on manufacturing and logistics processes in mechanical engineering. Furthermore, you will be responsible for project management of projects arising in the SCM area, including the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) in D365 F&SCM. You will work closely with the departments of production, supply chain, and logistics as well as with the Business Applications team and external implementation partners.

Focus: Manufacturing and logistics processes in mechanical engineering as well as project management of SCM projects, including the introduction of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM.

What you will achieve with us

D365 F&SCM – Manufacturing & Logistics

Project management of SCM projects

• Professional support and further development of the production, warehouse, and logistics modules in D365 F&SCM
• Analysis of requirements from manufacturing and logistics and translation into processes, concepts, and solution designs
• Ensuring stable operation as well as continuous optimisation of manufacturing and logistics processes
• Participation in rollouts, upgrades, and expansions in an international environment

Implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS)

• Management of projects in the D365 F&SCM area, including the introduction of WMS solutions
• Planning, control, and monitoring of project scope, deadlines, budget, and resources
• Coordination of internal departments as well as external implementation and support partners during the project
• Ensuring project standards, quality, and timely implementation
• Reporting project progress to management and stakeholders

Process Management & Continuous Improvement

• Leading the conception, implementation, and introduction of a WMS in D365 F&SCM
• Definition and optimisation of warehouse processes (goods receipt, storage, picking, goods issue, inventory management)
• Coordination of the integration of the WMS with upstream and downstream systems (manufacturing, shipping, legacy systems)
• Management of testing, data migration, and go-live activities
• Training and ongoing support of users in warehouse, production, and logistics

Collaboration & Partner Management

• Analysis, documentation, and optimisation of manufacturing and logistics processes
• Identification of digitalisation and automation potentials in production and warehouse
• Close collaboration with the departments of production, supply chain, and logistics
• Coordination and management of external implementation and support partners
• Close cooperation with the Business Applications team and IT
• Participation in cross-functional projects in national and international environments

Your profile

• Completed studies in business informatics, mechanical engineering, business administration with IT focus, or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as an Application Manager, Consultant, or Key User for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
• Proven experience in managing IT/application projects, ideally in the SCM or ERP environment
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing and logistics processes, ideally in mechanical or plant engineering
• Experience in the implementation and/or operation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ideally in the D365 environment
• Experience in requirements analysis, process design, and testing of ERP solutions
• Experience in managing external implementation and support partners is an advantage
• Strong project management skills and confident handling of budget and deadline responsibilities
• Communicative personality with a structured, solution-oriented working style
• Very good German and English skills
