Technical Clerk
Office for Forest and Natural Hazards | 80-100 % | Landquart
The Office for Forest and Natural Hazards (AWN) is the cantonal specialist office for the forest and protection against natural hazards. The employees of the AWN advocate for the needs of society regarding the forest and ensure that the forest is managed sustainably.
You ensure that the Bündner forest
- can protect people, animals and infrastructure,
- is a habitat for diverse animal and plant species,
- is a raw material supplier of wood, water and energy,
- can continue to be a recreational and leisure area for people.
We are looking for a technical clerk (80-100 %) starting 1 August 2026 or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- You are responsible as a specialist for the field of forest ecology. You implement the objectives of the forest development plan in collaboration with forest owners and according to project regulations.
- As a forest management coordinator, you manage and schedule the regional forest maintenance programme and advise the district foresters and regional forest engineers in managing the LeiNa database. You ensure quality assurance in forest management through spot checks.
- As the person responsible for regional public relations, you oversee projects in forest education.
- In cooperation with our headquarters, you are responsible for office premises and regional IT support including ArcGIS Pro.
What we expect from you
- A forestry education (ETH, university, FH or HF) or equivalent training corresponding to the job profile
- In-depth knowledge in the field of forest ecology
- Training and experience in forest education
- Committed, team-oriented and reliable personality
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
