Department of Education
At the Primary School Office, we are responsible for a high-quality and equitable primary school system. We support schools with questions regarding teaching, school development, curriculum, and teaching materials, undertake coordination and supervisory tasks, as well as provide a variety of services for both regular and special education sectors. We also advise authorities, school management, teachers, and guardians.
To further develop our special education sector, we are seeking a committed individual for a 50–70% position with professional depth, systemic thinking, and enthusiasm for collaboration. The start date is by arrangement.
Your Tasks
In this versatile role, you will take responsibility for conceptual, advisory, and coordinating tasks at the cantonal level:
Quality Development and Quality Assurance
You will develop and be responsible for concepts to further develop special education offerings and accompany their implementation.
Professional Advice
You will advise internal specialist departments, school management, and school special educators on complex issues.
Networking and Collaboration
You will work closely with internal and external specialist departments as well as with regional and national committees.
Project and Group Leadership
You will lead working and project groups and effectively advance topics.
Further Education and Knowledge Transfer
You will initiate and organise cantonal further education events and promote professional exchange.
Foundational Work
You will prepare decision-making bases for decrees and strategic issues.
Controlling and Management
You will accompany and review the implementation of cantonal directives.
Coordination
You will coordinate the teaching materials system and the Teacher Information Office LIS.
Your Profile
- University degree in special education, pedagogy, or related disciplines
- Several years of professional experience in the education sector
- Experience in project management and concept development
- Strong communication and advisory skills
- Systemic thinking and political acumen
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- School management training and knowledge of Appenzell Innerrhoden are advantageous
