Machine Design Engineer

About the job

You design equipment based on the specifications provided by our clients, working closely with other relevant departments.

You take responsibility for the technical choices of your constructions.

You coordinate the operational and control aspects of your projects.

You perform preliminary sizing calculations, attend to constructive aspects, and supervise the preparation of manufacturing drawings.

You write technical documentation and participate in production follow-up and testing.

You carry out updates or improvements to existing machines.

You conduct risk analyses (FMECA) and functional analyses.

What you bring:

You hold a HES engineering degree or a Technicien ES diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

You have at least 10 years of experience in heavy mechanical construction, accompanied by good knowledge of boiler making, manufacturing techniques, welding, and machining.

You are proactive in optimising design work: cost reduction, performance improvement, and reliability enhancement.

You are ready to take on technological challenges.

You are inventive, autonomous, and possess good time and priority management skills. You have the ability to adapt in an evolving technological environment.

You are proficient in a 3D software, ideally CATIA V5.

You express yourself fluently in French and English and have mastery of the written form.
