The SMACS Flex was selected by IDEMIA Japan to secure its facility and implement PCI-CPP standards.

FASTCOM Technology SA announces the completion of the project with IDEMIA Japan for its new payment card production plant. The facility must implement PCI-CPP security standards, for which SMACS solutions are very well suited. Various IDEMIA sites worldwide have been equipped with SMACS solutions for many years. Based on this positive experience, IDEMIA Japan has equipped its production site with a SMACS Flex.

The challenge: IDEMIA is opening a new payment card production plant in Japan. To comply with the required security standards, IDEMIA must set up a single-person airlock. Only authorised personnel will have access to the production areas and material flows will be controlled. IDEMIA also wants the flexibility to adapt control processes to particular situations. For example, it must be possible, if necessary, to fully open the airlock or to use the airlock in "single airlock" mode.

The solution: At various production sites worldwide and for over 10 years, IDEMIA has used SMACS solutions for airlock control. SMACS allow compliance with the required security standards while enabling adaptation to particular situations. Due to the positive experience of their use at various other sites, IDEMIA again opted for

FASTCOM's SMACS solutions.
