Student Administrative Support 40 - 60%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is responsible for services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the centre of our work.
The Central Child and Youth Welfare (ZKJH) within the AJB includes special educational measures in the pre- and post-school sector, guardianships for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (MNA), parent education, adoptions as well as, in the future, mobile interventions in youth crises (MIK) and school social work (SSA). From 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a committed student for administrative support who wishes to gain insights alongside their studies and contribute to the back office of Central Child and Youth Welfare.
In this role, your responsibilities range from administrative tasks such as organising events/meeting preparations, coordinating appointments and demanding minute-taking, to professional support in projects, research and concept work, independent preparation of performance indicators or participation in the creation of surveys.
You bring:
- enrolment at a university or university of applied sciences (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree), e.g. in Social Work, Educational Sciences, Sociology, Political Science or Psychology
- preferably a commercial basic education/business diploma or an equivalent qualification, demonstrated by excellent MS Office skills
- high flexibility to adapt to changing tasks
- organisational skills and strong time management
- confident German language skills, both spoken and written
- an independent, structured and proactive working style
- collegiality and humour even in hectic moments
- curiosity to engage with the topics of child and youth welfare
