The Centre for Public Law invites applications for a Doctoral Assistant in Political Theory under the supervision of Prof. Sandrine Baume.
Job information
Expected start date in position : April 1st, 2026 or to be agreed
Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Activity rate : 90%
Workplace : Quartier UNIL - Chamberonne
Your responsibilities
• 50% of the workload will be devoted to the completion of a doctoral thesis;
• 50% of the workload will be dedicated to student supervision and collaboration on research projects.
Your qualifications
- Master’s degree in political science, law, or humanities;
- Doctoral thesis project focusing on the relationship between democracy and the life cycle (e.g. old age or youth). The thesis may be situated within political theory or the history of political ideas;
- Proficiency in English;
- Knowledge of French would be highly appreciated.
