The City of Aigle launches the 2nd edition of the Sustainability Award

As part of the Municipal Climate Plan, the City of Aigle is launching the 2nd edition of the Sustainability Award. Candidates have until 28 August 2026 to submit their projects. An amount of CHF 10,000 will be awarded to the winner.

The Sustainability Award aims to encourage and support local and innovative projects. Through this initiative, the Municipality wishes to promote local initiatives and ideas contributing to greater sustainability within the Commune.

This Award is open to everyone: residents, students, collectives, cooperatives, businesses or associations connected to Aigle and carrying a concrete and positive project for the City and its population. Proposed projects may already be developed and deployed in the Commune, or be at the idea stage. However, they must contribute to the ecological transition of the region.

Participation is free and candidates can submit their application online now and until midnight on 28 August 2026 at www.aigle.ch/prixdurable.

A jury will evaluate the received projects and conduct interviews with the finalists, based on the criteria below:

• Contribute to sustainable development goals
• Create a direct positive impact for Aigle and its population
• Present an innovative and original aspect
• Be feasible and coherent

The interviews will take place on 17 September 2026 and the Award ceremony will be held at a public event on 28 October 2026.
