This position offers you
- Your responsibilities include the development and implementation of the product group and supplier strategy, aiming to optimize the supplier portfolio and ensure long-term material supply. This includes identifying new suppliers as well as alternative sourcing options
- You develop and manage the supplier portfolio from selecting new partners to targeted further development or phase-out and ensure goal achievement together with Supplier Quality Management through regular evaluations and audits
- Your role includes contract management within your product groups rubber, glass, packaging, and insulation, including creation, negotiation, and maintenance of supplier contracts in close coordination with internal stakeholders.
- You conduct tenders and offer comparisons and play a key role in well-founded awarding decisions in collaboration with the relevant departments
- You are responsible for the cost development of pre-series and series articles, actively identify cost reduction potentials, and sustainably implement them through targeted price negotiations and measures
- In your role, you actively participate in projects, coordinate material requirements with suppliers, and ensure timely provision of samples, prototypes, and series materials.
You bring the following to the position
- You have a degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a comparable education
- Several years of experience in purchasing, combined with strong negotiation skills and communication abilities, form the basis for effectively representing purchasing interests towards suppliers
- Strategic and analytical thinking enables you to develop sustainable purchasing strategies and confidently interpret market dynamics
- Clarity, assertiveness, and persuasiveness help you to confidently take a position both in internal project environments and with external partners
- Confident handling of ERP systems, especially SAP, as well as digital tools is part of your daily work
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, enable you to communicate confidently in an international environment
