Scientific Collaborator I

Tasks:
- conduct guided tours and educational activities for schools, in line with the mediation and dissemination policy of the Brissago Islands
- manage reservations for guided tours and educational activities, including organizing shifts for guides
- prepare botanical and educational documents as support for mediation and environmental education activities
- collaborate with schools, institutions, and associations in the implementation of educational, environmental education, and mediation projects
- develop and carry out educational, mediation, and cultural activities focused on the Cantonal Botanical Garden and the Brissago Islands
- collaborate in planning and organizing events aimed at visitors of the Brissago Islands
Requirements:
- bachelor + master or bachelor in botany, biology, environmental or agricultural sciences, and ecology
- training and/or experience in conducting guided tours and educational activities
- knowledge of the territory and the Ticino school system
- excellent knowledge of the Italian language (spoken and written) and excellent knowledge (spoken and written) of at least one other official language, preferably German
- initiative and teamwork spirit as well as adaptability and autonomy
- preferential qualifications:
- previous experience in environmental education and/or cultural mediation
- excellent knowledge (spoken and written) of other foreign languages, preferably French and English
Special notes:
- the position of Scientific Collaborator I (class 10) can only be assigned to candidates with complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive Bachelor + Master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
- the position of Scientific Collaborator II (class 9) will be assigned to candidates holding only a Bachelor or a short degree or to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)
- the position will be shared among three people (job-sharing), with percentage distribution of 20%, 30%, and 50% depending on profiles and skills

Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: as provided by the Law on the organization of State employees and teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
