Communications Specialist 80 - 100%The Cantonal Social Office, with over 280 employees, undertakes diverse, controlling and operational tasks primarily in social assistance, social insurance, social services and the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities and various private organisations. It also operates its own facility, tilia, based in Rheinau.
To strengthen the legal and staff service of the office management, we are looking for a versatile, committed individual as a Communications Specialist 80 - 100%, starting 1 August 2026 or by arrangement.
Tasks
- You maintain and manage the websites in the thematic and organisational areas of the office and further develop them
- You are responsible for internal communication
- You advise and support the departments on communication matters
- You plan, create and edit content on a wide range of topics in various formats
- You handle media enquiries and write press releases
- You take on various organisational and administrative tasks for the office management (assisting with events, presentations, etc.)
- You lead cross-departmental projects and participate in working groups in the political context
Your skills and talents
- You have completed training in the communications field and have several years of experience in communication (Bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification)
- You are familiar with cantonal administration and have an affinity for social policy issues
- You possess strong editorial skills, communicate confidently and appropriately for the target audience
- You have a technical flair and are proficient in using digital tools (CMS, newsletter tool, MS Office)
- You are resilient and work independently, proactively, purposefully and well organised
- You maintain a cooperative, confident approach with different stakeholders
