About the job

• you lead the regional section (City of Solothurn, Lebern / Bucheggberg / Wasseramt and Thal / Gäu) both professionally and in terms of personnel
• you plan and coordinate regional reporting for print and online and set journalistic priorities
• you research and write your own contributions on political, social and economic topics from the region
• you further develop your team and promote constructive, motivating collaboration
• you work closely with the editorial management and act as deputy for the editor-in-chief

• you bring several years of experience in local journalism and have taken on editorial responsibility
• you are passionate about independent, relevant regional journalism and are interested in and well connected within the Solothurn region
• you enjoy and have the talent to lead, support and develop a team together
• you think strategically, work in a structured way and keep an overview even in hectic situations
• you contribute constructively to the management team and take on responsibility
• you are not deterred by regular Sunday and evening shifts
