Our client, an international company specializing in the trade of goods and equipments for industrial operations, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Fribourg. The role involves managing a supplier portfolio, negotiating purchasing terms, and optimizing procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and developing the supplier portfolio
- Sourcing new suppliers and optimizing existing partnerships
- Negotiating purchase terms and logistical aspects
- Monitoring deliveries and managing export logistics
- Administering purchases, documentary remittances, and related invoicing
- Collaborating closely with the team to ensure efficient and effective service
Profile:
- Education: MBA, certification in procurement/supply chain, or equivalent
- 8 to 10 years of experience, ideally in import-export and technical procurement
- Knowledge of agriculture (a plus) and a solid understanding of international logistics issues
- Languages: French and English (C1 level required)
- Experience in technical and industrial fields (mechanics, spare parts, agricultural equipment)
- Experience in Africa or Asia is a plus
