Your Tasks

As the IT Security Officer at Stadtwerk Winterthur, you take on a central role in protecting our digital infrastructure and sensitive data. In an increasingly connected world, you ensure that our systems, applications and processes comply with appropriate security standards (including the ICT minimum standard). You identify risks, develop sustainable security strategies and implement effective measures for the prevention and defence against cyber threats. In doing so, you work closely with various departments and actively contribute to strengthening security awareness throughout Stadtwerk Winterthur. Implementation and further development of the IT security strategy for the systems managed by Stadtwerk Winterthur in coordination with the requirements of the City of Winterthur and close cooperation with the municipal information security officer

Definition, implementation and monitoring of security policies, procedures and responsibilities taking into account regulatory and legal requirements such as the ICT minimum standard

Ensuring effective information security operations through organisational measures, awareness campaigns as well as advising employees and emergency planning

Establishment and execution of a structured ICT risk management including risk analyses, reporting as well as establishment of escalation and communication processes

Support of the internal control system (ICS) and risk management including reporting and participation in relevant projects

Your Profile

You hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics. Ideally, you also have a MAS FH in Information & Cyber Security.

You can demonstrate many years of solid experience as an IT Security Officer. You have also been able to extensively apply your expertise in the public administration.

You are methodically skilled in effectively implementing new IT security projects.
