We are currently offering a trainee position (m/f/d) within our NCE-CDMO Technical Evaluation & Development Team in Visp, Switzerland.
We are looking for motivated and talented young chemists with a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in chemistry, preferably with a focus on organic chemistry. - If you are eager to gain first-hand insights into the chemical industry alongside your academic studies and want to be part of innovative development projects, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As part of our team, you will support colleagues in process development and technical evaluation and actively contribute to ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist laboratory technicians and scientists in the planning and execution of chemical syntheses, as well as in the analysis and characterization of products (e.g., using NMR, HPLC, GC, IR)
- Contribute to process development in ongoing projects within the team
- Perform practical laboratory work as part of a clearly defined individual sub-project within a larger team environment
- Conduct route scouting and literature research to identify new scientific trends and product opportunities
- Present findings to relevant stakeholders and project teams in a clear and structured manner
- Provide technical support to the marketing and business development teams through contributions to white papers, presentations, and other scientific materials
Qualifications and Experience
- Completed B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in chemistry, preferably with a focus on organic chemistry
- Strong interest in working in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Structured and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in scientific literature research and technical writing
- Solid IT skills are an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German
