About the job
The next career step does not begin with a new title, but with the right timing and an environment that offers genuine opportunities for shaping. Would you like to specifically contribute your experience as a senior consultant, take on more responsibility, and actively help shape medical development?
This women’s clinic with several locations in the German-speaking part of Switzerland combines modern structures with a noticeably collegial atmosphere. You work in an environment where people know each other, support one another, and find solutions together – whether in daily clinical practice, further training, or the development of the department. The collaboration with regional practices is close, direct, and uncomplicated, which is also reflected in a high continuity of patient care.
In the team, you will find clear structures without rigid hierarchies: one chief physician, one senior consultant, three senior doctors (part-time), and five to six assistant doctors work closely together and pull in the same direction. Cross-location collaboration creates a varied clinical routine with exciting insights and development opportunities.
Your responsibilities:
- Care of patients across the full spectrum of gynaecology and obstetrics
- Balanced activity between outpatient clinic, obstetrics, and operative gynaecology
- Regular operative work (at least one operating day per week, depending on workload)
- Co-responsibility in obstetrics including on-call duties (max. 7 per month at 100%)
- Opportunity to establish and further develop your own specialist clinics
- Active involvement in clinical processes and further development of the department
- Commitment to the training and education of assistant and senior doctors
Your skills:
- Specialist qualification in gynaecology and obstetrics (German or EU recognised; support with recognition in Switzerland through Medimeo)
- Several years of clinical experience, ideally at senior doctor level
- Operative focus advantageous or in development
- Interest in a leadership role with corresponding responsibility
- Experience in teaching and supervision advantageous
- Team-oriented, structured, and committed personality
Your benefits:
- Modern clinic with clear structures and very well-established training programmes
- Collegial, well-coordinated team with a positive working atmosphere
- Attractive development opportunities within the clinic
- Close collaboration with regional referrers and practices
- Plannable structures and good work-life balance
