About the job

At the Central Contact Point, we are the first point of contact for people with concerns in the areas of (asylum) social assistance. The core of our work is eligibility assessment: we provide guidance, take on new cases, and thus clarify the basis for further action. Do you feel addressed? - Assessment of entitlement to economic (asylum) social assistance
- Provision of personal and economic assistance in accordance with the Social Assistance Act and the Asylum Care Ordinance
- Advice and promotion of clients’ independence
- Drafting applications and decisions as well as record keeping and general administration
- Assertion of claims against social insurance and other third parties
Your Profile
- University of Applied Sciences degree in Social Work, complemented by commercial training
- Initial practical experience in statutory social assistance as well as broad social insurance knowledge
- Experience in dealing with demanding and rapidly changing situations as well as the ability to assess urgencies, respond promptly, and maintain an overview
- Enjoyment of an independent and flexible working style within a team
- Foreign language skills are an advantage
