Machine Operator / Production Mechanic Cable Production (m/f/d) 100%

For our client near Gossau SG, an innovative company in cable manufacturing, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a motivated, quality-conscious individual to operate the traverse machines. Your Tasks

• Machine Operation & Setup Processes: Independently operate, set up and equip the traverse machines according to specifications including spool, material and roll changes.

• Process Monitoring & Quality: Monitor production steps, record data and actively intervene in case of deviations to ensure quality.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Independently resolve minor faults and carry out autonomous maintenance and servicing tasks.

• Digital Order Management: Operate the MES control system for order processing and precise production data recording.

• Process Optimisation & 5S: Actively participate in lean activities and consistently implement 5S standards for a clean and organised workplace.

• Education: Successfully completed basic training as a machine operator EFZ, production mechanic, polymechanic or a comparable mechanical qualification.

• Experience: Several years of professional experience in operating production machines – ideally in length production (cable manufacturing) or related industries.

• IT & Technology: Very good technical understanding, proficient PC skills (ERP/MES systems) as well as precise and quality-conscious working methods.

• Personality: Quick comprehension, strong team skills, reliability and high commitment.

• Languages & Shift Readiness: Very good German skills (spoken and written) and willingness to work in a 3-shift system.
