A Dining Room Manager
To complete its teams for the winter season 2026/2027, Télé-Thyon is looking for its "Catering" department:
Your duties:
- Supervise the restaurant dining room team during the various stages of service;
- Check the table setup before and during service and reset;
- Monitor the quality, speed of service, and clearing of tables;
- Manage payments;
- Actively participate in service by taking a section or working at the bar;
- Manage reservations and prepare seating plans;
- Lead the dining room team briefings before and after service and ensure the handover of instructions in the manager's absence;
- Participate in the training and supervision of team members;
- Allocate tasks related to dining room service according to staff and clientele;
- Monitor attendance records of the dining room team and report absences to the manager;
- Report any malfunctions or special needs that could impact operations to your hierarchy;
- Assist the manager with administrative tasks;
- Ensure good coordination with the kitchen team;
- Ensure compliance with hygiene standards;
- Participate in waste sorting according to the establishment's guidelines;
- Contribute to snow clearance of terraces and restaurant access when necessary.
Your profile:
- Holder of a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a catering specialist or an AFP in catering (or equivalent training);
- Welcoming attitude, dining room work, and customer service skills;
- Good interpersonal skills and perfect mastery of customer relations codes;
- Management and leadership skills;
- Excellent team spirit;
- Commercial flair;
- Excellent presentation, exemplary conduct, and punctuality;
- Good command of English;
- Good stress resistance;
- Prior knowledge of the restaurant offer, menu, and wine list;
- Knowledge of the resort events and ski area (cabin schedules, names of surrounding mountains, etc.);
- Good skiing or snowboarding level allowing safe travel to the workplace regardless of weather conditions.
