In our series "Who is…?" we introduce you to our team. Today:
Adrien Butty
- Since 1 January 2023, Adrien has been head of the breeding value estimation department. Before that, he worked for 4 years as a geneticist with us. However, we have known Adrien a little longer, as since autumn 2014 he has repeatedly been seen in our offices as an intern, MSc student or PhD student.
- After graduating with an M.Sc. ETH in Agricultural Economics, he wrote his doctoral thesis at the University of Guelph in Canada on genome sequences and variations. We are therefore pleased that Adrien is back in Switzerland and part of our team.
- Besides breeding value estimation, Adrien, as a native of Fribourg, naturally enriches our skills with the best knowledge in fondue stirring 😉
- Balance is very important to him besides work. If he is not travelling by train across Switzerland to visit friends, he enjoys reading, doing sports or singing in the choir.
- He not only enjoys singing in the choir. Adrien is always happy to help and is therefore also involved as the person responsible for finances and concert organisation of the Seefeld Chamber Choir in Zurich.
