Secretary at the Cantonal Court
- AUTJ145
- The Cantonal Court is the highest cantonal judicial authority. As a second instance authority in civil, criminal, and administrative matters (public law and insurance), it handles appeals and challenges issued by the Court of First Instance, the Public Prosecutor's Office, and administrative authorities.
As a secretary, you play a key role in the administrative management of cases under the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Court, particularly the Public Law Court, to which you are mainly attached and represent essential support for the judges composing this authority.
In this capacity, you are responsible for the constitution and administrative processing of judicial files as well as typing documents and decisions dictated by the magistrates. Your role also includes drafting correspondence and simple decisions, scheduling hearings, and assisting with them, especially for taking minutes (under dictation or on the fly).
You also ensure the follow-up of agendas and deadlines at the IT level and are responsible for sending, enforcing, and archiving the decisions rendered.
Finally, you are the first point of contact to welcome and inform litigants, lawyers, and other administrative services, whether at the counter or by phone.
These administrative tasks may extend to various Courts of the Tribunal and other ancillary tasks, regularly or occasionally.
Holder of a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification, you have prior useful experience for the position, ideally in the judicial environment or in a law firm.
Recognized for your loyalty and discretion, you are strongly attached to public service values and possess a sense of responsibility. An excellent command of French, typing skills, and the Office suite is a prerequisite for this position.
Autonomous and endowed with a keen sense of organization, you are proactive and know how to take initiatives within the scope of assigned competencies. You appreciate handling complex files requiring attention to detail. Moreover, you stand out for your extreme rigor and precision.
You are also capable of quickly adapting to new environments and integrating into a team. Stress-resistant, you manage, thanks to very good priority management, to handle a large quantity of tasks and respond to multiple requests while respecting both urgency levels and deadlines.
This position finally requires holding a clean criminal record and debt collection record.
