The EOC, the hospital network of the Canton of Ticino, is seeking to complement its team in the field of Angiology with a:
Senior Physician Angiology (100%)
Angiology is part of the Clinic for Vascular Surgery and Angiology and covers the needs of vascular medicine throughout the canton. The candidate must have proven clinical experience and demonstrate solidity and independence in managing the entire spectrum of angiological diagnostics. Strong teamwork skills are essential, as close collaboration with the angiologists at the various EOC sites, as well as with vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, and colleagues from related specialties (nephrology, neurology, internal medicine) is required. The candidate will lead the Angiology department at the Lugano site, manage the training centre, and coordinate teaching activities in Angiology in collaboration with the Università della Svizzera italiana, with good prospects for further career development in clinical practice, at the university, and in research.
Requirements:
- Recognised specialist training in Angiology. For doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Medical Professions Commission MEBEKO and corresponding registration with MedReg (Medical Professions Register MedReg) before starting the position is mandatory;
- Possession of an academic title (PD, Prof) is desirable;
- Proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with corresponding registration with MedReg before starting the position. Knowledge of another national language and English is also desirable;
- Practice licence (attestato di libero esercizio) for the Canton of Ticino before starting at our institute;
- Completed training and experience in a senior role in Angiology. At least 5 years of experience as a specialist;
- Experience in training young colleagues;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
