Cyber Security Engineer, 80-100%

Responsibilities

You accompany security audits, penetration tests and technical reviews, analyse findings thoroughly, validate technical reports from bug bounty programmes, prioritise vulnerabilities based on risk and support their remediation
You conduct proactive threat-hunting activities, detect attack patterns and suspicious activities early and derive targeted detection and defence measures
You analyse complex findings, vulnerabilities and security risks in applications, interfaces and infrastructures and translate these into effective measures
You support the security operations environment in analysing security incidents and further developing detection and response processes
You advise projects and teams on central security topics with a focus on application security, vulnerability management and technical risks

Degree in computer science (ETH, FH, HF) or an equivalent education or training as well as at least 3 years of practical experience in the cyber security field
Comprehensive and broadly based know-how in cyber security, IT infrastructures, applications as well as current threat situations and attack techniques
Confident handling of established security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST or MITRE ATT&CK as well as several years of experience with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, NDR or comparable solutions
Proven practical experience in analysing, handling and follow-up of security incidents, technical findings and vulnerabilities
Willingness for on-call duty (7x24) as well as occasional assignments outside regular working hours
